Oven Caramelized Onions
Oven Caramelized Onions is an easy dinner. Made with 4 small onions, 2 tsp. oil, 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar and salt to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Slice tops off the onions and peel them, leaving the roots intact.
Cut each onion into eight wedges, taking care not to cut clear through to the root end.
Grease a deep baking dish. Drizzle the onions with oil and vinegar and season to taste. Cover and bake at 425° for 40 minutes until barely tender. Uncover and bake 5 to 10 minutes at 450° until soft and caramelized.
Serve warm.
