Our Favorite Strawberry Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 baked (9-inch) pie shell, 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened, 1 qt. fresh strawberries, 1 c. sugar and 3 tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Spread cream cheese in bottom of pie shell.
Choose best half of washed, drained and hulled berries.
Spread these whole berries over cream cheese.
Mash remaining berries thoroughly to make a thin pulp.
Add just enough water to this pulp and juice to make 1 1/2 cups.
Blend sugar and cornstarch; stir into fruit mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils for 1 minute. Cool.
Pour over berries in pie shell.
Chill about 2 hours.
