Orsinger Scotch Cookies
Orsinger Scotch Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. oleo or crisco, 1/2 c. dark molasses, 3 eggs and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream sugar and Crisco/oleo.
Add molasses and mix.
Add 3 eggs and mix.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.
Add to other mixture.
Add more flour, if necessary, as needed.
Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut into 3-inch diameter circles.
Brush each round with beaten egg.
Bake at 300Β° for 5 minutes, then turn cookie sheet and bake 5 more minutes.
