Preheat oven to 350°.

Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add flavorings and mix well.

Alternately add flour and milk, beating after each addition.

Stir in coconut.

Spoon batter into the 10-inch tube pan.

Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes, approximately, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Frost while warm (not hot) with the following frosting.
