Orange Cake
Orange Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. raisins, rind from 1 orange, 1 c. buttermilk, 2 c. flour and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In food processor, grind raisins and orange rind.
Mix with buttermilk.
In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, shortening and salt.
Combine dry ingredients with fruit and milk mixture and beat 1 1/2 minutes with electric mixer.
Add eggs and beat another 1 1/2 minutes.
Pour into large greased pan and bake at 300Β° for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.
