Orange Bread
Orange Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. chopped nuts, 1 tbsp. grated orange rind, 2 (11 oz) cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits and 1 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese, cut into 20 squares, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine sugar, pecan and orange rind in a small bowl. Separate each biscuit; place a cream cheese square in center of one half and top with remaining half.
Pinch sides togehter.
Dip in butter and dredge in sugar mixture.
Stand each biscuit on edge in a lightly greased 12 cup bundt pan.
Spacing evenly, drizzle with remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Immediately invert onto a wire rack.
Combine powdered sugar and orange juice, spoon over warm bread.
Serve immediately.
Yield 1-10 inch coffee cake.
