Mix onions, 4 cups cheese, flour and 6 tablespoons butter.
Pour into a 2-quart casserole.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter and mix with bread crumbs.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of onions, followed by bread crumbs.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Serves 8 to 10.
