Onion Pie
Onion Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with vegetable oil, 2 lb. thin sliced onions (7 to 10 onions), 6 large eggs, 1 deep dish unbaked pie shell and 1/2 c. fresh grated parmesan cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
In large frying pan, heat oil until hot. Saute onions until soft.
In large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cheese and seasonings.
Put onions into unbaked pie shell.
Pour egg mixture over onions; sprinkle with more cheese.
Bake on middle oven rack for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tester comes out clean.
Yields 6 servings.
