Old Timey Fudge
Old Timey Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 or 2 sq. chocolate, grated, 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar or 2 tbsp. corn syrup, 2/3 c. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix sugar, milk, grated chocolate, cream of tartar or corn syrup and boil slowly.
Stir until ingredients are well blended. Boil to soft ball stage (238Β°).
Remove from heat.
Add butter (do not stir).
When lukewarm, add vanilla and beat until it creams (shiny appearance disappears).
Fudge will hold its shape when dropped from the spoon.
Spread in buttered pan.
