Old-Time Rice Pudding
Old-Time Rice Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. uncooked rice, 1 1/2 qt. milk, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a 2 1/2-quart baking dish, combine first 5 ingredients. Bake at 325Β° for 2 1/2 hours, stirring twice during first hour and several times during remaining time.
Add raisins 1/2 hour before pudding is done and allow crust to form again during final baking time.
Serve warm or cold with cream, if desired.
