Old Time Fudge
Old Time Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, 1 c. milk, dash of salt and 2 tsp. corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Grease pot with margarine (sides and bottom).
Mix sugar, salt, chocolate, syrup and milk until it comes to a full boil. Cook over medium heat until comes to a soft ball stage when dropped in a cup of cold water.
This normally only takes about 7 minutes.
Remove from heat; add margarine and vanilla.
Mix well. Place pot in sink in cold water.
Beat until it loses its gloss and starts thickening up.
