Add eggs one at a time.
Sift flour; save 1/2 cup to dredge raisins.
Add flavoring and fold in flour.
Add raisins to batter and mix well.
Line a tube pan with wax paper.

Bake one hour at 300°; lower heat to 250° and bake 2 hours longer.
Remove from oven; leave in pan 10 minutes before removal.
