Cream together the shortening and sugars.
Add beaten egg, water and vanilla; mix well.
Pour in flour and stir.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Grease 2 cookie sheets.
Place dough about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake at 350Β° for 7 minutes or until desired brownness.
Dough will be soft.
Let set in pan until firm, then remove.
