Old Fashioned Apple Slices
Old Fashioned Apple Slices is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1 c. crisco and 1 egg, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift flour, 1 tablespoon sugar and salt together; blend with Crisco.
Add enough milk to egg yolk to make 2/3 cup liquid and add to first mixture.
Blend and refrigerate an hour or overnight. Roll 1/2 dough.
Use plenty of flour and place in a 10 x 12-inch pan.
Put corn flakes on crust.
Put the sliced apples, then 1 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Top with rest of dough.
Bake at 400Β° for 40 minutes, until brown.
Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice; pour on pie while hot.
Serve hot or cold.
