In large bowl, cream sugars and butter or margarine together until light and fluffy.

Beat eggs, one at a time.

Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and spices.

Mix nuts and raisins into sifted flour mixture and add to creamed mixture.

Add vanilla. Stir in oats.

Mixture will be rather stiff.

Make 2 rolls on waxed paper and roll up.

Refrigerate overnight.

Slice into thin slices and place on baking sheet.

Bake in preheated 350Β° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
