Cream shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs in mixing bowl; beat thoroughly.
Sift flour with soda, salt and cinnamon; add to cream mixture and mix thoroughly.
Fold in rolled oats and pecans. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet; flatten if desired. Bake at 375Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool about 2 minutes before removing from baking sheet.
