Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. boiling water, 1 c. oatmeal, 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. dark brown sugar and 1 stick margarine (1/4 lb.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Pour the boiling water over the oatmeal and let stand 20 minutes until cool. Cream together the sugars, margarine and eggs. Sift the flour, cinnamon, soda and salt together.
Add all together and add the vanilla; beat.
Bake in loaf or 13 x 9-inch pan for 35 minutes in a
325° or 350° oven.
