Nutmeg-Meltaways
Nutmeg-Meltaways is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, softened (no substitutes), 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. flour and 3/4 c. (about 3 oz.) ground almonds or finely chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
Gradually add flour; mix well.
Stir in the nuts.
Shape into 1-inch balls; place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 300Β° for 18 to 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Cool on wire racks.
Combine confectioners sugar and nutmeg.
Gently roll cooled cookies in sugar mixture.
Yield: about 5 dozen.
