Norwegian Gold Cake

Mix flour and shortening at low speed.
Add eggs, 1 at a time. Mix well. Sift sugar, salt and baking powder.
Add to cream mixture.
Beat well.
Add almond flavoring and beat for 2 minutes at low speed.
Bake for 1 hour at 325Β° in a lightly greased and floured Bundt pan.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cooled.
