Add potatoes, rutabaga, celery root, leek and salt.

Combine ingredients in a large Dutch oven and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add vegies and salt and cook for another 30 to 45 minutes.

If using ham hocks, remove, trim, cut finely and return to the soup!
