Never Fail Pie Meringue is an easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 tbsp. cornstarch and 3 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cook until clear and thick the sugar, cornstarch and water. Let cool.
Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt plus vanilla until it forms a soft peak; add slowly 3 or 4 tablespoons sugar.
Beat until it forms peaks, then add to the cool cornstarch mixture; beat again until it looks like whipped cream.
Put on top of your favorite pie and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown at 350Β°.
