Nanny's Chicken Casserole
Nanny'S Chicken Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 6 skinned chicken breasts, 2 cans cream of celery soup, 1 soup can milk and 1/4 c. white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Brown chicken breasts (which have been shaken in a bag with flour, salt and pepper) in margarine slowly until golden brown. While browning, add onion.
Take out chicken and place in one layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Put sliced fresh mushrooms in chicken pan and brown, then scatter over chicken.
Put 2 cans cream of celery soup in first pan with 1 can milk and 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce.
Cook until chicken and mushroom flavor is absorbed.
