My Mother's Rolls
My Mother'S Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. milk, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. lukewarm water and 1 pkg. yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Heat milk, shortening and sugar until milk is scalded.
Cool. When mixture is cool, add yeast dissolved in lukewarm water, mix in 4 cups of flour and set in a warm place to rise.
When double in bulk, work down.
Add remaining flour, salt, baking powder and soda, sifted together.
The rolls will be easier to make out if this mixture is put in refrigerator and allowed to get cold.
Make out rolls and dip in melted butter or margarine.
Let rise and bake at 350Β° until brown.
