My Mom's Oatmeal Cookies
My Mom'S Oatmeal Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 2/3 c. brown sugar, 1 egg, beaten, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 3/4 c. sifted whole wheat flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla. Mix.
Sift flour and other dry spices. Add to first mixture. Then add oatmeal, wheat germ and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
(I make each cookie more than 1 teaspoon.)
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β° or until they look and feel cooked enough. Don't dry out.
