My Meatless Pasta Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (28 oz.) can pastene kitchen ready tomatoes, 1/2 c. onion, chopped fine, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped fine, 1/2 c. celery, chopped fine and 1/2 c. carrot, chopped fine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a large saucepan or kettle, put the kitchen ready tomatoes. Add onion, green pepper, celery, carrot, mushrooms, fennel, dried parsley, basil and sugar.
Add 1 of the tomato cans of water. Bring to a boil.
Turn down to simmer and cook down to desired thickness.
