Mother-in-Law Butter Cookies

Cream butter and sugar.
Mixture is very soft.
Add egg, cream and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix flour mixture with butter mixture.
Chill dough.
Roll dough very thin, 1/4 of dough at a time.
Cut out cookies.
Place on greased cookie sheet and decorate.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
