Mom's Cobbler
Mom'S Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/3 c. milk, 1/2 c. butter or margarine and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Boil sugar and water, then set aside.
Melt butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan in oven, then set aside.
Mix flour, shortening and milk into dough.
Roll out about 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
Fill with fruit and roll up like a jelly roll.
Slice in 1/2-inch sections.
Place in baking pan and pour sugar water over it.
