Molasses Sugar Cookies

Mix shortening, sugar, molasses and egg.
Beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients, then add to first mixture.
Chill 1 hour.
Roll into 1-inch balls.
Top with sugar and bake on greased cookie sheet at 375Β° for 6 to 7 minutes.
Great to store in freezer also.
