Molasses Cookies
Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. soft shortening, 1 egg, 1/4 c. molasses and 2 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix together brown sugar, shortening, egg and molasses.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Chill dough.
Form into 1-inch balls. Roll into sugar.
Flatten slightly with bottom of glass or fork. Bake at 325Β° for 10 minutes until set but not hard.
If desired, ice with butter icing.
