Molasses Cookies
Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 c. molasses and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and molasses and beat well.
Sift flour with dry ingredients and add to the shortening mixture and mix well.
Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll each ball into sugar.
Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
