Boil together the first 6 ingredients for 10 minutes.
Add a pinch of salt and set aside to cool.
When cool, add eggs, vanilla, flour, soda and oatmeal.
Mix well.
Drop by spoonful onto slightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 10 minutes.
