Mock Fish
Mock Fish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. water, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 c. cold water, 1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal and 3 tbsp. white flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Boil 4 1/2 cups water.
In a bowl, mix dry ingredients.
Stir into cold water.
Mix well. Immediately stir the cold batter into the boiling water. Bring to a boil again.
Lower heat to simmer and cook until thickened.
Add a drained can of salmon that has been crumbled.
Pour the mush mixture into a 9 x 5-inch pan. Cover with wax paper.
Chill until next day. Slice thin and fry.
