Mixed Vegetable Mornay
Mixed Vegetable Mornay is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, 1/4 c. cold water, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. garlic salt and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Steam vegetables in covered pan using 1/4 cup water.
Cook until tender and drain.
Save liquid for mornay sauce.
Add salts and butter to vegetables, mixing gently.
Set aside.
Prepare mornay sauce with 1/4 cup butter, 1/3 cup flour and 2 cups liquid from vegetables.
Add 2 cups half and half, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, thyme, garlic salt and salt.
Cook like any white sauce. Spread half of the vegetables in casserole; add half of sauce and spread remaining vegetables and top with sauce.
Cover top with bread crumbs; drizzle entire surface with 1/4 stick butter, melted.
Bake 30 minutes at 350Β°.
