Mixed Fruit Salad
Mixed Fruit Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with c. diced mixed fruits, . unflavored gelatin, . lemon juice, (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened and c. mayonnaise, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Drain fruits.
Soak gelatin in lemon; dissolve over hot water. Blend cream cheese with mayonnaise and salt; stir in gelatin. Whip cream until stiff, adding sugar gradually during last stages of beating.
Fold in cheese mixture, nuts and fruits.
Pour into refrigerator tray lined with waxed paper; freeze until firm.
Turn out on platter.
Remove paper; cut in slices.
Serve on crisp lettuce with additional mayonnaise; garnish with red cherries.
