Melt candy bars and 1 stick oleo together; set aside.
Cream sugar and 1 stick melted oleo. Add eggs; mix well.
Add flour and salt alternately with combined soda and buttermilk. Add candy mixture, then nuts and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350Β° for 70 to 75 minutes.
