Mile High Biscuits
Mile High Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, sifted, 2 tbsp. sugar, 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 450°.
In mixing bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse meal. In another bowl, combine egg and milk.
Beat lightly with fork. Add to flour mixture all at once stirring enough to make soft dough.
Turn out onto floured board.
Knead 15 times.
Roll out to 1-inch thickness.
Cut biscuits with biscuit cutter.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until brown at 400°.
