Microwave Texas Brownies
Microwave Texas Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. shortening and 1/4 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix sugar and flour in a large bowl.
In microwave-safe dish, combine butter, shortening, coffee or water and cocoa.
Microwave on High for 2 minutes or to boiling.
Pour boiling mixture over flour mixture, stir and add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.
Pour in 9 x 11-inch pan dish.
Microwave at Medium-high for 18 minutes, turning dish every 4 to 5 minutes until done.
(May look soft on surface.)
Top with Chocolate or Caramel Frosting.
