Use 2-quart glass pitcher bowl with handle.

Put peanuts, sugar, Karo and salt in bowl and cook in microwave 4 minutes. Remove and stir; return to microwave and cook 2 minutes.

Remove and stir in vanilla and oleo.

Return to microwave and cook 2 minutes longer.

Remove and gently stir in the soda.

Stir until light and foamy; immediately pour onto foil-lined cookie sheet. Let cool for 1/2 hour to 1 hour.

Break into pieces.
