Microwave Caramel Corn
Microwave Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 16 c. popped corn, 1 stick butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c. light syrup and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Place popcorn in 5-quart casserole.
In 2 1/2-quart bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt.
Bring to a boil on full power.
Takes approximately 3 minutes.
Boil mixture for 3 minutes, stirring several times.
Remove mixture from oven and stir in baking soda.
Mix well.
Pour over popcorn.
Coat evenly. Put coated popcorn in microwave for 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
This coats popcorn more evenly.
As corn cools, it becomes crisp.
Store in airtight container.
