Microwave Candied Sweet Potatoes
Microwave Candied Sweet Potatoes is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) can sweet potatoes, in heavy syrup, 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind and 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Drain sweet potatoes, reserving 1/4 cup of the syrup.
In 2-quart microwave-safe dish, place brown sugar, butter, orange rind, cinnamon and reserved syrup.
Cook at High 4 minutes, until mixture is slightly thickened.
Add sweet potatoes, gently stirring to coat with glaze.
Cook at High 1 minute until heated through.
