Microwave Baked Custard
Microwave Baked Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. milk, 3 eggs, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Microwave the milk a 2 cup measure on High until tiny bubbles appear around edges of cup, 2 to 3 1/2 minutes. Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla in a 1 quart bowl. Blend in milk. Divide into 4 to 6 ounce baking cups.
Sprinkle nutmeg on
Arrange cups in ring around outer edge of carousel. Microwave on Medium-high (70%) until center resembles soft set gelatin, 4 to 7 minutes. Center will become firm as custard cools.
Chill several hours before serving.
