Mix well the butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla. Sift together and stir in flour and salt. Stir in nuts. Chill dough. Heat oven to 400Β°.
Form into 1-inch balls.
Place about 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
Let cool, then roll again in sugar.
