Mexican Lasagna
Mexican Lasagna is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. water, 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. picante, 12 corn tortillas, 2 lb. ground beef and 1 onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine water and 2 tablespoons picante in shallow dish. Place tortillas in mixture and let stand 5 minutes.
Drain.
Cook ground beef with onion until brown.
Drain.
Stir in salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, olives and remaining picante. Simmer 5 minutes.
Melt butter in saucepan; add flour until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Add sour cream and stir until well blended.
Place 1/2 of tortillas in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour 1/2 sour cream mixture over tortillas, then 1/2 meat mixture and then 1/2 cheese.
Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes.
