Mix all but the last four ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.

Brown hamburger meat and drain.

Grease an iron skillet. Heat and sprinkle with a thin layer of raw corn meal, brown slightly.

Pour 1/2 of the corn meal batter into the skillet; sprinkle with the meat, cheese, onion and chiles.

Pour remaining batter on top.

Bake in 9-inch skillet at 350Β° for 50 minutes.
