Meringue Cookies
Meringue Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites, large, pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 2/3 c. sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Heat the oven to 350Β°.
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.
In an electric mixer, beat the egg whites until frothy.
Add salt and cream of tartar.
When whites become firm, gradually add sugar, then vanilla and almond extract.
When the mixture forms stiff peaks and looks shiny stop beating and add nuts and chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on to the cookie sheet.
Place in the oven and turn off the heat.
Leave overnight.
