Memory Book Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 2 c. brown sugar, 2 large eggs, 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Beat margarine at medium speed.
Gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Combine flour, soda and salt.
Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
Stir in pecans.
Shape dough into 2 (16-inch) rolls, wrap in wax paper and chill at least 4 hours.
Cut in 1/3-inch slices.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 6 to 8 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
