In medium bowl, combine mushrooms, onions, oil, garlic, tomato sauce and paste. Add olives, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

Stir to mix ingredients.

Remove and discard skin from chicken parts.

Place chicken in 2-quart microwave safe rectangular dish. Arrange chicken so that meatier areas are toward outside of dish (if using breasts, turn them bone side up).

Pour tomato mixture chicken and cover dish lightly with wax paper.

Microwave

High 10 minutes. Turn each piece of chicken over.

Spoon sauce over chicken.

Cover with waxed paper and microwave to 12 minutes. Place artichoke hearts in baking dish, spacing among chicken. Sprinkle cheese over and let stand 5 minutes.

Reheating necessary, microwave on High 2 minutes.

Serves 4.
