Meat Loaf Supreme
Meat Loaf Supreme is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. extra lean hamburger, ground chuck, ground round or a little of each, 1 c. milk, 2 to 3 slices bread, torn, 3 slices quartered american or cheddar cheese (optional) and 1 egg (2 if small), beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Preheat the oven to 375°.
Mix milk with torn bread; stir until bread is soaked in milk before adding to meat loaf.
In large bowl, mix all ingredients and form into loaf.
If too much liquid, add more crushed crackers.
Cover entire loaf with catsup. Add a tiny bit of water around loaf if using extra lean ground chuck.
Bake at 375° for about 45 minutes.
Cut through center of loaf or even slice entire loaf to ensure even baking and let bake another 20 minutes.
Ovens vary so check after 15 minutes.
