Meat Loaf Italiano is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef (can have some pork in this), 1 egg, 1/2 c. fine seasoned bread crumbs, 1/2 c. each of chopped onion and green pepper and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine ground meats, egg, bread crumbs, green pepper, onion, salt, pepper
1/2 can herb sauce; mix well.
Shape into
1 large loaf (split loaf in half).
Place cheese slices in center of loaf, sealing edges well.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes; drain off fat.
Pour remaining sauce over meat loaf. Bake 15 minutes longer.
