Maude Hyde'S Fresh Apple Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. salad oil, 2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 3 c. flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix oil and sugar; cream well.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Sift flour and dry ingredients together; reserve enough flour to dredge nuts and dates well.
Add flour to the creamed mixture.

Batter will be stiff, but apples will supply the moisture.
